On June 3, 2026, at the spillway of Khlong Hat Som Paen, Ranong Municipality, Acting Lieutenant Colonel, Ph.D., Kritsada Chimphliwat, Deputy Director of the Ranong Provincial Education Center, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in a ceremony to release aquatic animals as a merit-making act in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 4th cycle birthday celebration. Mr. Rachan Meenoi, Governor of Ranong Province, presided over the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Governor led participants in releasing 200,000 aquatic animals, including white carp and Siamese fighting fish, into natural waterways. These animals were provided by the Chumphon Aquatic Animal Genetics Research and Development Center. The release was done as a merit-making act, to conserve and restore aquatic resources, to enhance the abundance of the aquatic ecosystem, and to raise awareness among the local population about natural resource and environmental conservation.
